Colin McLeod is considered one of the worlds most renowned performers, creators and consultants in the world of Mentalism. His past works are rated as some of the most revolutionary of our time. He has spent the last 15 years travelling the world, entertaining audiences (into the thousands), deducing and revealing the most intimate facts, thoughts, memories and desires from people.
Colin can reveal your PIN number, unlock your iPhone, open your email account, reveal the name of your first kiss, announce your date of birth, the place you want to visit most in the world, your most personal dreams and fantasies and even know your name. All from speaking to you for less than a minute. And all without you saying a word.
By all accounts, Colin Mcleod is a dangerous individual to be around - and for the first time, he offers a collection of routines so you can increase your 'danger level' as well.
Divine is Colin's first Hardback release collecting the routines, techniques and psychology - sharing not just his methods, but his entire process on how he’s able to create things in the unique way that he does. From learning how to use the Multi-Dimensional Die to reveal the exact memories of spectators to performing a guaranteed ‘Bank Note in Hand’ style routine, without the requirement for any fancy electronics, you’ll be gaining a personal insight, displaying why, as Uri Geller puts it, he's "One of the greatest thought readers of all time.”
Colin pulls his best material out of his close up, stage and walk around sets and teaches it all in the pages of this collection. Looking at just those routines he tips using a deck of cards, you'll;
• Learn to perform ‘The Tossed Out Deck’ where people merely think of cards.
• Memorise a deck of cards in less than 2 minutes and have the entire audience test you.
• Know which card was at which number.
• Learn how to lay two cards face down and have the spectator’s correctly name them.
You’ll learn the up to date work on his Q&A routine with nothing held back, his unique perspective on Mental Epic and how to make it play BIG to a real world audience.
As well as these, Colin reveals for the first time his opening routine for close up situations to ensure everyone is engaged and gets involved AND his ‘head line prediction’ methodology where you not only accurately predict any real world event, the event organiser also predicts what you’ve predicted. This is something that has never been shared before and will instantly become the cleanest way of making predictions in advance. This prediction routine alone is worth the cost of the book.
The book is laid out as a series of essays and as well as learning everything above, you’ll be learning some of the uses developed for the ‘Dunninger Ploy,’ this section alone contains a multitude of extra effects to consider, an essay on making billets psychologically invisible and a question and answer session with Peter Turner where we’ll find out exactly how Colin perceives different areas of our craft.
There is also a chapter on the journey Colin has taken, the people he has met and the influences he has had to guide him to this current point in his career. By the end of this book, you’ll know exactly who he is, exactly how he thinks and exactly how his thinking, his methodologies and his principles can and will benefit you.
And that’s not even half of the book.
It's rare that mentalism of this calibre comes along - we saw it happen with COG by Ben Seward and it's happening here and now with Divine. We do have a limited number of these books - get one now before you miss out. You can thank us for it later.
Although a bit pricey im not disappointed the routines in here are good and the methods are pretty versatile so can be applied to other routines or different presentation but the ideas and thoughts shared by colin are great and being the first product I've bought from him ill definitely be looking for more of his work. The methods have already helped me create my own routines so if your into mentalism this is worth giving a read five stars
The only reason I could not give it 5 stars is because of the price. I know Colin McLeod sold it for slightly more originally anyway so that is not completely E's fault. The book has great mentalist routines in it. I feel like this is especially good if you ever want to do some stage mentalism. A lot of what is in the book works best for that.
