If all you're going to do is walk around 'sparking' people, don't buy it. Seriously. You have to combine this with smart concepts and unique presentation if you want to bring out the full power of Electric Touch. But when done right, and used subtley in combination with other effects, the device has remarkable impact. You are causing something to happen that can only happen if you have some kind of other- worldly force in your body. Here's a simple example: The performer approaches the spectator and asks them to think of any card in the deck. The spectator is asked to focus only on that selection, and to picture it clearly in their mind. With his hand outstretched, the performer asks the spectator to reach out their hand as well, hovering very close to the performer's palm. They experience an eerie tingling sensation in their hand. The performer says that he will attempt to pass the image of that card from the spectators mind to his own with just a touch of their fingertips. The performer gently touches the spectator's fingertip, and immediately the spectator feels a distinctive, powerful shock. While the spectator goes nuts, the performer stands silent. When the spectator's reaction slowly ceases, the performer continues staring into her eyes. He takes a deep breath. He nods affirmatively . He says. "Nine of hearts." I was very impressed with the package and quality. The DVD was SO much better than the preview Yigal put out. He performs on the street with it and you can see how he adds it to other routines he does with Loops and coins and stuff... he never walks up and just shocks someone. Really, really good product and instruction. It's a killer device. It's so easy, yet again it's all a matter of presentation. This is not a visual effect, but, depending on your presentation ability you can fry people with it (no pun intended). Look into the person's eyes deeply without saying anything. Stare. Tell them to hold up thier hand, palm outward to you. Tell them to put their card "into" their hand as if it was appearing right there on their hand.
Slowly, you hold your hand up - even with theirs. You say, "give it to me..... give it to me". After several seconds you say, "yes... I feel it"... at that moment there is a clear shock.
You say, "your card was the seven of diamonds".
Wow. Just go try THAT on a layman and see what you get. |

"Wow.. I'm speechless after what happened today.
I had performed the Stigmata effect to about 40 people in my gym class last week and it worked flawlessly. I then purchased the Electric Touch effect from my friend, who is selling his magic collection to people in our school, two days ago for about the same price as on E. Today in school, I brought the Electric Touch with me and performed Version 2 of Stigmata to my marketing class. There were approximately 20 people watching along with three teachers who had been chatting. I performed Stigmata to my marketing teacher and then, before revealing the marks, told him to think hard about the name he had written down. I then grabbed his hands and said, "watch this." I zapped his hand and then fell onto my knees to add drama, and then started holding my arm saying it had been fried by the shock. When I removed my hand from my arm the name slowly began to VISUALLY appear in dark red marks. People were literally jumping on desks to get away from me.
If you own Stigmata and are looking for a nice twist to add, I'd highly reccomend playing around with the Electric Touch. You'll get reactions FAR beyond what you'd receive just with Stigmata alone."
