"It took me about 15 minutes to master the effect and when I saw myself do it in front of the mirror, I thought it looked impossible and had doubts that I would ever pull it off for people.
"Well, I recently performed Infusion at a New Years Eve party. People were having beverages of all kinds. When the time came for me to perform, I got a quarter from someone and performed the trick. I picked up a glass on the table and got someone to sign the quarter. I was explaining to them the theory of "matter over matter". I got everyone's attention and penetrated the coin through the glass. People were swearing and took the glass from me. They looked at me with amazement and astonishment. They were trying to penetrate the glass with the coin themselves and they couldn't do it. Someone from the back yelled out "we have a God in the house". The reaction was phenomenal. I wish I had a camera to capture the moment because people were screaming and swearing. I must say that the visual nature is what sells the trick and I am really glad I bought it because it earned me another point in my reputation as a magician. Thanks Gier. Ingenious.

 "I LOOOOVE PLAYING CARDS!! Ever since I was a kid watching my parents playing Classic Solitaire on the kitchen table or on their bed, I loved watching playing cards in motion. Then, later on in life I saw my very first few card magic effects on TV; Card through Window and Jay Sankey's Airtight, both performed by the magnificent David Copperfield on a CBS magic special! Oh man, I couldn't believe my eyes! I was HOOKED on cards ever since!!
Coin magic, on the other hand… I've never really been a big fan of. Even when I was younger, I'd see an effect on TV, and in my brain I always thought, "Aw, it's somewhere in his hand, or in the other hand, or he's got his hand curled at a specific angle…" or whatever. For some reason, it just never bit me like card effects did.
It wasn't until Coin Bite and Revolution came out that I had a tremendous change of heart. I remember thinking then… "Will this get me into wanting to do coin magic?" Then, SLAM came out… and I was hooked! But, I was also cautious. I want my coin magic to be as hard hitting as all of those previous effects; I don't wanna do "old school" coin tricks at all…
THEN, I saw a preview here on E of this dude banging the bottom of a glass onto a quarter… AND IT CLANKED RIGHT THROUGH THE GLASS!
HUH!?
And no gaffs, no dupes… just the coin and a drinking glass all by itself?! Whoa dang, I had to check this puppy out! Luckily for me, my younger brother, John, picked up this DVD, and man, am I glad that he did!
This is a fantastic little effect that creator Geir Bratlie has bestowed upon us. It SO follows the creed set by Brad Christian when he mentioned it in the Crash 1 Video Preview, "… because simple… HITS HARD!" And yes, this is truly a hard hitting effect that is so remarkably simple in its handling, that you'll be amazed at just how wonderfully effective it is on laymen (but practice IS needed to make the effect perfect). In fact, when John and I watch each other perform the effect, we're still wowed at how insanely visual this trick is! It's just so fantastic! And, of course, we're given great tips by our fabulous Brad, which help nail home just what you need to do to make this effect the gem that it is.
The time on teaching on the trick is short, even shorter than most other DVDs out there, but I found it a fabulous learning experience, and came away with another coin effect that I'll gladly add to my coin magic repertoire!
