"I ordered slam just yesterday, and I ordered the video with it. I thought i would have to wait ALL week for it to come. But thanks to the Ellusionist customer support(thanks Patrick:) ) I figured out I could watch the video before my gimmick came. I stood up late to see it, and the second i figured out the gimmick secret and method I just sat there and i remembered what my friend said he said that the secret was pretty good but you would kick yourself when you figured it out. I was thinking stuff like, "oh it just has slots", so i was thinking it did. When i saw the secret i just sat there in my seat thinking, “No way, there’s no way that’s the secret. But it was, and I kicked myself when i found it out, Now I'm sitting here doing it with normal coins until my gimmick comes. It really doesn’t have slots or anything. And it can really be borrowed......REALLY!!!!!!!!!!! Which makes the effect awesome. I can already see the reactions ill be getting. The secret is pretty hard to figure out. And let me think of any other things to say............well, they can try and try to pull the coins out of each other but WILL NOT!!!! be able to :D. I would recommend the video very much because brad shows you exactly perfect how to hide the one simple move, and i laughed when he said, "Don’t worry about being nervous or getting caught, just think of doing it to cavemen,(caveman voice and imitation) "oooooooh 2 coins ok do something" Its funny and makes sense:). That is all, and sorry for making it long."

"The minute I checked the mail I new what had arrived. I quickly tore open the package and a little prescription bottle rolled into my hands. I popped it open and was so surprised with what I had seen, I promptly dropped my SLAM. I was afraid I might have damaged it, but there were no dents or cracks in the gimmick. It is so well made, even to a magician, it looks like a miracle. I booted up the training video on my PC and followed the moves as Brad was teaching them. The teaching video is so thorough, I only had to watch it once and I got the move down pat. I immediately performed it on my roommate.
I went on about how much damage the hurricanes have done to our city (I live in Florida) and how poles went through trees and that I would show him a little something like that with two coins. I let him examine the quarters and after one, two, three taps, the coins were merged together. My roommate instantly spat out - "That's (edited by Chris to remove profanity - please do not post profanity in our forums in any capacity)!!!" He grabbed 'em out of my hands and tried to pull them apart. My roommate is a pretty strong guy, and he couldn't move the coins even a millimeter. He was just floored. I knew right then that this trick was definetly worth it.
Many people complain about the method, but I think it is great. The specs' minds are only on the merged coins, so they don't even think about what else it is that you do after you give those to them.
The trick isn't difficult. Only one move is needed, and I got it in 15 minutes. I am not the greatest with coins.
I look forward to doing this effect at work as well. If you have any doubts about buying this effect... you shouldn't. Just Add to Cart. Simple as that. Thanks very much to Travis McPherson for creating this brilliant effect.
10 out of 10!!!

"The Preview: I saw the coins. I saw the...nothing else. It was just coins. That was all there was. I was floored. When he said you could borrow the coins I was left breathless. Borrow the coins? That can't be right. And you can let them inspect it?!?!? Then how the???? After I watched it for the first time I couldn't believe it. I watched it a second time and was still wide-eyed. I had theories, of course, but many of them were too far-fetched to be believable. I knew immediately I HAD to have this. This was the perfect addition to my routine. I bought it almost immediately.
The Forum: The forum is lead by none other than Travis McPherson himself. He is constantly posting thoughts on how to make SLAM better and even hints about new additions (Dang you Traviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis!) There are already great thoughts from members about how to make the coins come apart and even how to spin one quarter and just hit it with the other to link it.
The Product: SLAM is extremely well made. The look and feel of it is so incredible that NO ONE can tell how it's done. NO ONE! No matter how much they inspect they won't figure out how it's done. It's not idestructable of course. In fact, mine broke just today (a too skeptical spectator, oh well.) It may have broken but they didn't figure it out.
The Video: In addition to the written instructions by Brad and Travis you have the option of buying the download instructional video. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION! I'M TELLING YOU NOW, YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS! Brad's teaching is as great as ever. He not only gives the moves clarification but, more importantly, he tells you how to get over the nerves it takes to do the trick, and the patter that's used to build SLAM up. Tornados, the effects of tornados, specific tornados. He talks about how researching is what makes the patter more believable and, therefore, more unbelievable. Once again, THIS IS NOT AN OPTION!
The Performance: I recently had a perfect opportunity to perform SLAM. I'm sorry but SLAM MADE me BRAKE the magician's code. I absolutely HAD to perform it more than once. Because it's sooo easy. You borrow some quarters, put them together. Borrow some more, put those together. I must have performed SLAM fifteen times that one night. AND I NEVER GOT CAUGHT! It's just so easy. You're using their quarters so they know it CAN'T be gimmicked! Absolutely brilliant and completely undetectable.
The Closer: If you don't have SLAM get it! If you have it, perform it! It's a definite reputation maker for any beginner and a perfect effect for a pro. I've had this for only a couple days and already it's on the top of my list. I'm NEVER going out again without my SLAM and if I do, it's because I'm not a magician anymore. To become a great at magic, you need a reputation. To get a reputation, you need SLAM. Get SLAM, or get out of here.
