A mentalist tool that gives you limitless possibilities

Known as Nail Writer or Swami, This gimmick is one of the most powerful tools a magician or mentalist can use. It's really very difficult to believe that with such a little and inexpensivegimmick, you can produce the quality and the quantity of effects thatlook like real miracles.

With the help of this subtle device you can write letters, numbers, check marks, etc. surreptitiously, in front of the audience, giving the impression that it was written well before the event or effect. It gives you limitless possibilities.

The History of Swami Gimmicks is not clear. Without any doubt the first use, what we call Swami Gimmicks, were the mediums and spiritualists. Long after, magicians and mentalists adopted this wonderful gimmick to their arsenal of magical props. We can find it in the magical literature for the first time in Spirit Slate Writing and Kindred Phenomena by William Robinson (Chung Ling Soo), published in 1898. There the author describes it as a 'Thumb Pencil Carrier.'

Since Robinson's description many models have been developed: 'Clip Nail', 'Under Nail', 'Band Writer' and 'Thumb Tip Writer.' The most important innovation and improvement in this field came from the brilliant mind of Eric mason that invented the 'Boon Writer.' It's an 'adhesive' kind of writer. Mason describes it as 'The Greatest Little Gimmick in the World,' and we can guarantee this statement is absolutely true.

NOTE: The version we sell is the Thumb Tip Type (with pencil lead tip).
