Art of Magic is an inspiring work. The tricks are effective and the presentations they revolve around make them more so.
You’ll get five different closeup miracles and each is practical. Click the “What’s in the Box” tab (above) for descriptions of each.
As with any Houchin DVD, Wayne teaches showmanship as he moves through the DVD. He’s developed a unique style and thought-process on what makes magic work, and he’s willing to share. Aside from teaching DVDs, Wayne is a successful young performer – filling 1000-seat theater shows regularly – so you can do well by listening to the advice. There’s a reason people want to see Wayne perform.
There are plenty of intimate performances mixed into the DVD and this is where Wayne begins to actually demonstrate the art of magic. We all know that the “art” part of magic eventually boils down to how the spectator perceives what you are doing. It’s where you take them during your performance, and it is how you take them there.
Helping Wayne drive home the points are Regal, Fisher and the Bucks.
I found Dan and Dave to be candid and open. If you hadn't heard of the Brothers Buck before, they are a couple of twins who apparently got hold of some kind of card worker’s steroid and downed the entire bottle. I’ve seen them do things live that nearly took my breath away. You get to see them here, talking about magic and how they feel about it.
David Regal is just plain funny and entertaining. He’s the guy that took C. Thomas Howell all the way to the finish line on VH1’s Celebracadabra. I could watch him all day.
Aaron Fisher was my favorite on this DVD. He’s casual, disarming, and brilliant. His perceptions of psychology are dead-on, and will help you get the focus you need as to what is really important when presenting magic. If you get a chance to see him lecture, do it. I can’t imagine anything better. To hear him talk about his first trick (the Glide) and doing it over and over for people until they realized what he was doing, is priceless. “…..because, y’know, it worked so well the first time…”.
The DVD is a no-brainer for those interested in improving their skill and making magic work in real performance. And along the way you pick up not one, but five new Houchin tricks to work on. Remember this is the guy that brought you Stigmata, Coin in Soda Can, Indecent and Thread. There’s no way to lose.
If you believe in magic, Art of Magic will be for you. Pick up a copy today.

I have found Wayne Houchin's work to be original, clever, and insanely effective. I have gotten some of the best reactions I've ever received with Stigmata. If this DVD contains multiple tricks of that caliber, this will surely bea great success
